Dog came back with a kill
Filled the place with a horrible smell that’s
Kind of hard to describe

Crooked and barren, a mile from the wreck
Thistles and ivy grow out of the deck
Rope in the hallway, chains on the door
Axes had made some remarks in the floor

Ten years have passed since the place had a guest
The wolf and the serpent contained in the crest
Have faded away to expressionless mounds

I had a crazy dream
